A Prayer for Sleep

When rest will not come and your mind keeps turning, you can ask God for the gift of sleep. This is a short prayer for sleepless nights.

Father, it is late, and I cannot quiet my mind. The worries feel louder in the dark. Take them from me now, one by one, and hold them until morning. Loosen the tightness in my body, and let your peace fall over me like a blanket. You do not sleep, so I can. I trust you with tonight, and I rest in your care. Amen.
