A Prayer for Protection

When you feel unsafe or afraid for the people you love, you can ask God to be your shelter. This is a short prayer for protection over yourself and your family.

Lord, be a shelter over me and the ones I love. Guard our going out and our coming in, and keep us in your care through the day and the night. Where there is danger, be our refuge. Where there is fear, be our courage. Cover those I cannot be near, and let them feel your presence like a hand upon their shoulder. I trust them, and myself, to your keeping. Amen.
