A Prayer for Night

At the end of a long day, you can lay it all down before you sleep. This is a gentle night prayer for rest and a quiet mind.

Lord, the day is done, and I am tired. Thank you for carrying me through it, even the parts that were hard. I lay down my worries and the things I left unfinished. Quiet my thoughts, and let me sleep in peace, knowing you keep watch while I rest. Forgive what needs forgiving, and let me wake gentler than I was. I trust the night to you. Amen.
