A Prayer for My Family

When you carry your whole household in your heart, you can lift each of them to God by name. This is a prayer for your family, in seasons of joy and of strain.

Gracious God, I bring my family to you, each face, each worry, each hope. Bind us together in love that is patient and kind. Heal what is strained between us, and soften the words we are quick to say. Watch over the ones who are far away, and comfort the ones who are hurting. Make our home a place of grace, where we forgive and begin again. Thank you for the gift of these people. Amen.
