A Morning Prayer

How you begin the day shapes it. This is a short morning prayer to hand the hours ahead to God before they fill up.

Good morning, Lord. Before the day rushes in, I give it to you. Thank you for breath and light and another chance to begin. Go with me into whatever this day holds, the known and the unknown. Make me kind, make me patient, and let me notice your goodness in small things. When I forget you, draw me back. I place my hours in your hands. Amen.
