A Prayer for Loneliness
Loneliness can ache even in a room full of people. This is a prayer for loneliness, and for the comfort of God's nearness.
Lord, I feel alone, and the quiet is heavy tonight. You have promised never to leave me, so let me feel that promise now. Fill the empty space with your presence, and remind me I am seen and known and loved. Send me people to belong to, and help me reach toward them. Until then, be my companion in the silence. Thank you that I am never truly alone with you. Amen.
