A Prayer for Letting Go

Some things we can only carry by finally setting them down. This is a prayer for letting go of what you cannot control.

Father, my hands are tired from gripping so tightly. I have been trying to control what was never mine to hold. I lay it down before you now, the worry, the outcome, the person, the past. Take what I cannot carry, and give me the peace of open hands. Teach me to trust that you are good and that you are holding all of it. I release it to you, and I breathe again. Amen.
