A Prayer for Healing

When your body or your heart is hurting, prayer is a place to bring the pain honestly and ask God for healing and comfort. This is a short prayer for healing you can pray for yourself or for someone you love.

Loving God, you are close to the broken and gentle with the weary. I bring this hurting body and tired heart to you. Where there is pain, bring your comfort. Where there is fear, bring your peace. Steady the hands of those who care for us, and grant the kind of rest that heals. I trust you with what I cannot fix, and I thank you that I am held in your love. Amen.
