A Prayer for the World

When the news is heavy, you can hold the whole hurting world before God. This is a short prayer for the world.

Lord, the world feels heavy tonight, full of suffering I cannot fix and headlines I cannot forget. You so loved this world that you gave your Son for it, so I trust it is not beyond your reach. Comfort those who are afraid, feed the hungry, shelter the displaced, and be near to everyone who is grieving. Where there is war, make a way to peace. Show me my small part, and give me the courage to do it. Have mercy on us all. Amen.
