A Prayer for My Father

This is a short prayer of gratitude and blessing for your father, in whatever shape your relationship takes.

Lord, I bring my father to you today. Thank you for the ways he has provided and protected and shown up, and I ask your grace over the places our relationship has been hard. Bless him now. Give him strength for his years, peace in his heart, and the assurance that he is loved. Where there are old wounds between us, bring healing and the courage to forgive. Help me to honor him. Watch over him, draw him near to you, and keep him in your care. Amen.
