In a world that always wants more, contentment is a gift to pray for. This is a short prayer to find peace with what you have.

Lord, teach me the secret Paul learned, to be content whatever my circumstances. Quiet the restless voice that says I need more to be happy. Free me from comparing my life to everyone else's. Open my eyes to the good already in my hands, the ordinary gifts I overlook. Let me hold my plans loosely and receive each day as enough. You are my portion and my provider, and having you, I have what I most need. Give me a grateful, contented heart. Amen.
