A Prayer for a Loved One Far Away

Distance is hard when your heart is somewhere else. This is a short prayer for someone you love who is far from you.

Lord, someone I love is far from me tonight, and the miles ache. I cannot be there to watch over them, but you can, and you are. Guard their going out and their coming in. Comfort them when they are lonely, provide for them when they are in need, and let them feel loved even from a distance. Keep them safe until I can hold them again. And in the space between us, bind us together by your Spirit and by love that distance cannot break. Amen.
