A Prayer During a Job Search

A long search for work can wear down your hope. This is a short prayer for a job search, for the waiting and the doors still to open.

Lord, this search has gone on longer than I hoped, and my confidence is worn thin. I bring the unanswered applications and the quiet inbox to you. You know the plans you have for me, plans for a future and a hope, so I choose to trust them even now. Open the right door at the right time. Guard me from despair while I wait, and remind me my worth is not measured by a title. Provide for my needs, and lead me to good work. Amen.
