A Prayer for a Friend

When a friend is on your heart, you can lift them to God by name. This is a short prayer for a friend, in good times and hard ones.

Lord, I bring my friend to you today. You know exactly what they are carrying, even the parts they do not say out loud. Draw close to them, and let them feel it. Where they are weary, give rest; where they are worried, give peace; where they are hurting, bring your comfort. Thank you for the gift of this friendship. Help me to love them well, to show up when it counts, and to point them, again and again, toward you. Amen.
