A Prayer for a Broken Relationship

When something between you and someone you love has torn, you can bring the wreckage to God. This is a short prayer for a broken relationship.

Lord, this relationship is broken, and it grieves me. I bring the whole tangled mess to you, my part in it and theirs. Soften both our hearts. Help me be kind and tenderhearted, forgiving as you have forgiven me. Where I have been wrong, give me the humility to say so; where I have been hurt, give me the grace to release it. If reconciliation is possible, make a way. If it is not yet, guard my heart from bitterness. Bring your healing in your time. Amen.
