A Prayer for Comfort
When you are hurting and need to feel held, you can come to the God of all comfort. This is a short prayer for comfort in a painful time.
God of all comfort, my heart is sore, and I need to feel your nearness. Wrap around me like a warm blanket on a cold day. Where words fail, let your presence speak. Ease the ache, even a little, and remind me I am not alone in it. Comfort me so that one day I can comfort someone else the way you are comforting me now. I rest in your tenderness. Amen.
