A Prayer Before Work

Before the emails and the to-do list, you can offer the day's work to God. This is a short prayer for the workday, whatever your work is.

Lord, before this day of work begins, I offer it to you. Steady my hands and clear my mind for what is in front of me. Let me work with honesty and care, as unto you and not just for a paycheck. Give me patience with difficult people and grace when I fall short. Establish the work of my hands, and let something good come of my effort today. When the day is long, be my strength. Amen.
