A Prayer for a New Home

Moving into a new home is a fresh beginning. This is a short prayer to bless a new house and everyone who will live in it.

Lord, we bring this new home to you and ask you to make it a place of peace. Unless you build the house, we labor in vain, so build this one, and dwell here with us. Let its rooms be filled with laughter, its table with welcome, and its walls with your protection. Where we unpack our boxes, help us also make room for grace. Bless everyone who will live here and everyone who will visit. May this house be a shelter and a home. Amen.
